Dr. Aniruddha Bose Kolkata
Aniruddha Bose graduated in medicine from Medical College Bengal in 1981. He left for higher training to United Kingdom in 1984 and in 1986, he completed his FRCS, from there. In United Kingdom, after completing FRCS and his training in General Surgery, he took up Plastic Surgery as a career. In 1987 he obtained the Indian equivalent Diplomate National Board from India. In 1992 he was elected as a Fellow of British Association of Hand Surgeons. In 1995 he became the Fellow of International Society of Burn Injuries. The next year he was admitted as a Fellow of International College of Surgeons.
With nearly thirty years of experience in Plastic Surgery, he did his Registrar jobs in famous centres as Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham City Hospital, Nottingham and Charing Cross Hospital, London. He completed his Senior Registrar training from Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, and Regional Burns Centre at Pinderfields Hospital. He also specialised in hand surgery as a Senior Registrar from the internationally famous hand centre – Pulvertaft Hand Centre. He has worked as a Consultant in Plastic Surgery Norwich Group of Hospitals and practiced as a Consultant Aesthetic Surgeon in Harley Street.
For a brief span he has worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Kuwait catering to the Cosmetic Surgery needs of the Middle East.
From 1999 he is settled in his hometown Kolkata. He is a life member of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, Association of Plastic Surgeons of West Bengal, and Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
From 2006 onwards he is the Director of Protyusha (www.protyusha.com), a Regional Institute of Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to him being the Director of Protyusha, he is the Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon of Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Belle Vue Clinic, Ruby General Hospital, D-Sun Hospital, AMRI Hospital, Woodlands Hospital, Salt Lake City Medical Centre, Charnock Hospital, North City Hospital, Subodh Mitra Hospital and Microlap.
His special interests are in Cosmetic Surgery. In addition to routine cosmetic surgery, he is specially trained in Aesthetic Maxillofacial Surgery and Endoscopic Cosmetic Surgery.

He has delivered several lectures and chaired numerous sessions at conferences of Association of Plastic Surgeons of West Bengal and Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He has several publications to his favour. In Kolkata he pioneered the establishment of Plastic Surgery Units in all the hospitals he is attached. He is one the renowned plastic surgeons both nationally and internationally and has authored several chapters in cosmetic surgery in various plastic surgery books.
