Our Surgeon, Dr. Jay Appurao, MD, FACS, is Board Certified in General Surgery, and also Certified by American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, practicing General Surgery in Louisiana since 1981, and Cosmetic Surgery since 2000.

Most people know Dr. Jay Appurao simply as “Dr. Jay”. He is married to Dr. Vijaya Jayagopal, an Anesthesiologist also in practice since 1981. He has two children, daughter Anita Gouri, DDS now practicing Pediatric Dentistry in Lafayette and Baton Rouge, and a son Ash Jayagopal, PhD, a faculty in Biomedical Engineering department, formerly of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and currently in Switzerland.

Dr. Jay specializes in several areas of Cosmetic Surgery. Over the years, Dr. Jay has acquired excellent skills from hands-on training with experts in the fields of Liposuction, Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), Breast Augmentation, Breast Reduction, and Facial Cosmetic Procedures.
