Dr. Marc Pacifico
About
During his undergraduate medical training, Dr. Marc Pacifico spent an additional year studying for a science degree (a Bachelor in Science (BSc)) in physiology. This year, his research focused on the reactions of blood vessels to temperature changes, particularly the cold. Blood vessel behavior and response are critical in all aspects of plastic surgery. Dr. Marc Pacifico received a first-class honors degree for his outstanding work.
Dr. Marc Pacifico later spent two years of his specialist plastic surgery training researching ways to improve outcomes in melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer. In 2003, he was awarded a prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Research Fellowship scholarship to further his research. Dr. Marc Pacifico received a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the University of London after completing his research on melanoma.
