Rhinoplasty can be categorized into Open and Closed Rhinoplasty.
- Open Rhinoplasty Surgery: This type of surgery used for major nose reshaping. Incisions are made
- Closed Rhinoplasty Surgery: Closed Rhinoplasty surgery is used for minor nose reshaping. Incisions can be made within the Nose
- Secondary Rhinoplasty: It is also called as revision rhinoplasty, and This Surgery is performed to correct the problems which occurred by the previous nose surgery.
- Filler Rhinoplasty: This type of surgery involves the use of injectable fillers to “fill” depressions.
Nose Correction Types:
Closed nose correction:
Most nose operations are carried out through the nostrils (closed nose correction). The main benefit of a closed nose procedure is that it leaves no marks on the outside of the nose; a new profile is given to the nose when we change the form of the bone tissue and cartilage from the inside.
Open nose correction:
An open nose correction often needs to be done for incision in the columella (the part of your nose between the nostrils). The incision allows the surgeon to raise your nose tip to give a new form to the cartilage. When it’s healed, the scar is barely visible.
