32 years of experience across every field of specialization
Since 1989, the Florence Nightingale Group has been at the forefront of the region’s healthcare business. Across the Group’s five hospitals and three medical centres, Florence Nightingale has created “Centers of Excellence” with professional treatment, surgical, and diagnostic skills, with each facility achieving renown in its speciality not just in Turkey but throughout the region.
A proven record of excellence
Today, Group Florence Nightingale serves 75.000 inpatients and 350.000 outpatients annually, with an 804-bed capacity, 141 intensive care units, and 40 operating rooms.
With its interdisciplinary approach, GFNH has earned a high level of confidence and performs over 20.000 procedures each year, including 1.000 paediatric and 2.000 adult cardiac surgery. Over the course of its 30 years of excellence, the hospital has performed 41.000 cardiac surgeries, 105.000 Angiographies and Angioplasties, 20.000 Orthopedic surgeries, 3.217 Spine surgeries, more than 8.000 Oncology cases, nearly 1.500 Liver Transplants, over 1000 Kidney Transplants, 900 Bone Marrow Transplants, and over 1.500 Robotic surgeries.
Internationally recognized and accredited
The Joint Commission International (JCI), the international branch of the institution that examines and accredits American hospitals, certified Group Florence Nightingale as one of the first Turkish hospitals. Over 350 criteria are included in their checklist, including surgical cleanliness and anaesthetic procedures, as well as an assessment of the systems in place for medical professionals and nurses. Every three years, JCI conducts an accreditation audit.
Group Florence Nightingale has ties and relationships with some of the most prominent medical institutes in the United States and other countries, and it invests continually in the training and development of all of its employees.
Experienced, internationally trained physicians and medical experts
The Turkish Medical Council has completely approved all Group Florence Nightingale physicians to practise their speciality in Turkey. Many are also Board Certified in their field in the United States, Australia, or Europe. The Credentials and Bylaws Committee and the Hospital’s Medical Executive Committee must examine each doctor’s credentials and track record as part of the Group Florence Nightingale credentialing procedure. These evaluations take place before a doctor is assigned to the hospital’s medical staff by the Board of Governors, and then every three years after that.
You may get an overview of each of our physicians’ qualifications. We can make arrangements for you to study your physician’s qualifications or specialised expertise in further detail when you visit.
To practice at Group Florence Nightingale, nurses, pharmacists, imaging, and lab technicians must complete training and pass certification examinations. Nurses must recertify every five years. Those with unique duties, such as ICU nurses, must acquire specialized training and certification in their field of competence.
State-of-the-art technology and equipment
Over the last several years, incredible breakthroughs have been achieved in medical research and the technology utilised to treat patients in every field of specialty. Florence Nightingale Group invests in new equipment on a regular basis and trains its professionals to provide the best possible health care.

Since the dawn of modern medicine, technology has been a driving force, continuously altering how healthcare practitioners treat in- and outpatients. Modern healthcare services include robotic surgical technology, telemedicine, and wireless electronic monitoring, among other things.
International architects, MEP engineers, interior designers, equipment consultants, hospital staff, systems manufacturers, and technology consultants all came together to form a true synergy and understand the enormous design complexity demands of constructing a technologically advanced healthcare facility.
As a result, we are particularly proud of the Group’s fifth hospital, Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital (opened in January 2013), which combines expertise with the highest caliber of staff and healthcare innovation – from smart patient beds to regulated environments – to ensure that each and every patient receives the best possible care that goes beyond international standards.
