Dr. Ricardo Ventura
Dr. Ricardo Ventura is a Dominican Republic-based plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgeon. He trained with renowned plastic surgeon Ivo Pitanguy, known as the “Father of Cosmetic Surgery” and one of the most influential individuals of the twentieth century, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Dr. Ricardo received his Doctor of Medicine (Cum Laude) degree from INTEC University in 2005, where he distinguished out for his academic prowess. In 2006, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he was accepted into the Santa Casa da Misericórdia Hospital’s General Surgery Service and Nursing Station 17.
Dr. Ricardo was chosen to conduct his residency at Professor Ivo Pitanguy’s famous Department of Plastic Surgery in 2007, after finishing his General Surgery course. There, he was able to obtain individualised instruction from some of the industry’s most renowned plastic surgeons, including Dr. Pitanguy himself. He returns to the Dominican Republic in February 2011, having completed his residency, to join the medical team of Clinica Corazones Unidos in Santo Domingo and the Centro de Cirugia Plastica Avanzada del Cibao (CIPLACI) in San Francisco de Macoris.
He is a plastic surgeon who focuses on cosmetic surgery, including both face and body contouring. He was a member of Professor Ivo Pitanguy’s resident staff for three years, studying the procedures of the renowned international plastic surgeon as well as implementing fundamental safety standards, ethics, and respect for the patient.
