Dr. Prajwal K Rao
Dr. Prajwal K Rao is a young and dynamic plastic surgeon who completed his MCH Super specialty at the age of thirty and is now the sole board-certified plastic surgeon working in Kasaragod.
Dr. Prajwal is a board-certified plastic surgeon who practices in Kasaragod and Mangalore. He is originally from Mangalore. K S Hegde Medical Academy in Deralakatte provided him with his undergraduate education, while Father Muller Medical College in Mangalore provided him with his master’s degree in general surgery. He then went on to A J Medical College and Research Centre in Mangalore to get his MCh Super-specialty degree in Plastic Surgery.
He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal after completing his plastic surgery studies (MAHE University). In places like Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore and King’s George Medical College in Lucknow, he has collaborated with a number of well-known plastic surgeons. He received advanced training in hair transplantation from Dr. Suneet Soni of the Medispa Laser and Hair Transplant Centre in Jaipur, as well as a Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine from the University of Greifswald in Germany.
Dr. Prajwal is a life member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI), the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (IAAPS), the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand (ISSH), the Diabetic Foot Society of India (DFSI), the Rhinoplasty Society of India (RSI), and the Indian Society of Reconstructive Microsurge (KAPRAS). He is also a member of international organisations such as AOCMF and ISAPS on a yearly basis.
He has performed several aesthetic operations, hand and maxillofacial trauma operations, microvascular surgery, reconstructive surgery, and diabetic foot care procedures with great success.
