His surgical skills and knowledge have been valued in renowned hospitals in Bucharest and beyond, including the Fundeni Clinical Institute, Saint Pantelimon Hospital, Filaret Hospital, and Medicover Hospital, to name just a few.
Notably, Dr. Zamfirescu performed the microsurgical anastomosis of the hepatic artery for the first four liver transplants ever conducted in the Republic of Moldova at the Republican Hospital in Chisinau. His expertise also extends to brachial plexus paralysis surgery, with over 50 successful cases under his belt. He has displayed a profound understanding of complex defects and their reconstruction, utilizing free microsurgically transferred flaps in 95 cases with a success rate of over 92%. These flaps, including the latissimus dorsi, rectus abdominis, gracilis, antebrachiobrachial, lateral brachial, fibular, anterolateral thigh, DIEP, and digital joint, have enabled patients to regain both form and function.
