How is Liposuction Surgery Performed?
First there will be detailed consultation with leading Liposuction Surgeon discussing various aspects like required treatment areas, Body contouring techniques, expected results after Liposuction surgery, etc. Once all required information is communicated to client, Liposuction surgery is posted.
Liposuction Surgery is performed early in morning with complete NPO which means Nil per Orally, means nothing to be consumed liquid or solid food by mouth minimum 8 hours prior to Liposuction Surgery. This is because of anesthesia given for liposuction.
Liposuction is a Laparoscopic surgery also known as Keyhole surgery, Surgeon makes short incisions measuring 2 mm to 3 mm on treating area through which surgeon will insert a thin tube like device called a cannula. Cannula is in turn connected to a suction machine which assists in suck and drains off the superficial converted fluid fat cellulites.
After Liposuction surgery you will be monitored in recovery room for next 3 – 4 hours as the anesthesia effect fades off. First you will be given some fresh water followed with light meal with fresh fruit juice. Once you are stable doctor would discharge you which is mostly same day after 10 – 12 hours gap of surgery. Regular follow up is required for couple of days to closely monitor results and recovery.
What is Liposuction surgery Recovery time?
After Liposuction Surgery first few days complete rest is advised. Small movement within the house is permitted from second day onward. Wearing pressure garments is compulsory for better results.
During 36 hours following Liposuction surgery, clients experience some swelling and bruising. These will disappear within couple of days based on body part and amount of Liposuction done. Stitches are usually removed within 4 to 5 days after Liposuction surgery.
You will be able to get back to normal routine with 6-8 days or much earlier based on Amount and Body parts where Liposuction is done.
